I took this Uffizi Gallery tour and loved every second of it! The small group tour was perfect - intimate and informative. We took a walking tour and visited the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Story of Michelangelo's "Doni Tondo"
Michelangelo was known as a sculptor. He was famous for criticizing painters as they could mask their mistakes with a careful movement of the brush. Sculptors, on the other hand, could not mask their mistakes with a chisel and hammer. Regardless of the comments, he was known to pick up a brush. His most famous painted work is his work on the Sistine Chapel. However, the "Doni Tondo" is his only finished panel painting to survive, and it is currently displayed in the Uffizi Gallery.
